At the end of this course, students, should be able to: understand and be able to explain main trends and problems connected with religiosity in Poland, to formulate basic relation between Polish national identity and religion, to analyze religious interpretation of Polish national history, to delineate of changes in Catholic religiosity in Poland.

At the end of this course, students, should be able to: understand and be able to explain main trends and problems connected with religiosity in Poland, to formulate basic relation between Polish national identity and religion, to analyze religious interpretation of Polish national history, to delineate of changes in Catholic religiosity in Poland.

Course objectives
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the basic problems, characters, events and currents in the "religious" history of Poland. The main focus will be on the relationship between religion and the political and cultural identity of the Polish nation.
Learning outcomes
The student will be able to:

to identify the main trends of religiosity in Polish society; critically reflect the key features of the relationship of Polish society to religion and selected religious groups; describe and explain and critically reflect some specific features of Polish religiosity (eg so-called Polish religious nationalism atheism)
