Course objectives (in Czech)
The course will look at a number of American novels dramatising aspects of current American consumer culture. These will include 'American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis and 'White Noise' by Don de Lillo. The course will also cover a number of theoretical perspectives on cosumer culture, including essays by Adorno, Baudrillard, Benjamin, Castells and others.
