Course objectives
New trends in television production can be seen mainly in the development of television formats. Goal of this class is to introdukce modern trends in the area of television formats, to show their overview, explain what television format is, what are the conditions and circumstances of its formation, how does a television format incorporate and enforce itself in television broadcasting and how is it modified if the license is sold to other countries.
Foreign titles, that will be shown in this course, were chosen because they bring new ideas and methods of audiovisual production and because they were evaluated by both viewers and critics. Students will get to know program manuals, presentations and scripts of some projects. These formats will be compared to certain recent local projects.
