Course objectives
The aim of the course is to learn students how to effectively interpret in the team.
Learning outcomes
After completing this course teh students will be familiar with techniques and rules of simultaneous interpreting between Czech and Czech sign language, interpreting the team and providing effective feedback.
Syllabus
  • 1) The purpose of the team in interpreting.
  • 2) Forms of the team interpreting.
  • 3) The role of a deaf interpreter in a team.
  • 4) Team interpreting rules.
  • 5) Team support (help, rotation, role of individual interpreters).
  • 6) Team preparation for the assignment.
  • 7) Feedback principles and rules.
  • 8) Team interpreting training (simultaneous interpreting between Czech and Czech Sign Language)
