Course objectives
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the rules of the construction of a courtly novel. In addition to the theoretical introduction, the course will also cover the plot of the novel Erek, the first German court novel created around 1200.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to recognize and summarize the features of the courtly novel. Write an essay on the building blocks and plot of the courtly novel Erek and discuss the subject.
