Cíle předmětu
The course of lectures surveys development of what can be called Czech art in the European context which means that definition of what is and is not Czech art shall be made first. The course focuses on few significant works and authors which represent the respective periods rather than provides an extensive list of them. Related issues of context, history, patronage and others will be discussed as well. Starting in the Middle Ages, the lectures will lead us through history until quite recently. Art historic vocabulary connected with the topics discussed will be provided at the course web page.
