Course objectives
The lecture is a excursus to the history of the czech theatrical theory formation. Author analyses and compares theoretical, philosophical, esthetic and critical works of important czech authors (e.g. J. Jungmann, J. K. Chmelenský, J. Neruda, J. Durdík, O. Hostinský, J. Vodák, O. Zich and so on) whose views contributed to the cognition of theatre particularity. Author deals with the sense of their theoretical reflexion for the theatrical practice.

  • The scheme The presentation of significant names and comparison of their works (singly and chronologically). The comparison of conceptions and trends.
