Course objectives
In this course the students develop their communication skills as well as their knowledge of Dutch life and instituitons and the cultural and political life in the Netherlands.
The students familiarize with the basic techniques and practices of leading a debate and they learn the basic practice of argumentation. Students will familiarize with the current topics in the contemporary Dutch politics and the with the social position of an individual in the society. The students will listen to a spoken sample beforehand and they will read a text connected with the topic of the lesson. The aim is to develop all four communication skills as well as the knowledge of the current Dutch society.
