Course objectives
The aim of the course is to train students abilities to critically apply their knowledge in the field of the Brno city. The course consists of preparation and realization of 5-6 excursions to different, religiously significant places in Brno. The students will actively participate in the preparation of particular excursions.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the students will be able to: - provide a short overview of religious life in Brno - characterize selected religiously relevant places or monuments in Brno including their short history and current state - communicate with the representatives of particular religious groups correctly - prepare and organize a short excursion including an expert commentary

  • The course is taught in block: 1. introductory meeting, requirements and distribution of tasks 2. suggestion of excursions, selection and harmonization of the course programme 3. final plan of excursions 4.-10. excursions 11. final test

Teaching methods
Organizational meeting, discussions, research, excursion, presentation.
Assessment methods
Students enrolled to the course are expected to: a) participate in the selection of the localities b) prepare in groups one particular excursion c) participate on at least 4 from 6 excursions d) write a test focused on basic knowledge about the visited places. Points a-c are considered as the prerequisites of the course evaluation, the test will consist of 20 questions, out of which is necessary to answer 60% correctly.
