Course objectives
The course is aimed at students of Russian programmes who are not native speakers of the Czech language. The aim is to teach students how to communicate in basic life situations. It is a systematic training in Czech, which aims at consolidating speech habits and skills and fixing the speech forms through grammar drill, developing linguistic competence with the use of appropriate vocabulary. It is an optional course for students who need to consolidate and deepen their existing language habits and gain an awareness of the socio-cultural peculiarities of life in the Czech Republic.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to: - express themselves independently and correctly in basic communicative situations, both verbally and in writing, - use the necessary vocabulary.

  • Topics: Autobiography, mode of the day. Family, family relationships. Leisure time. I need information (How to get where I'm going...). At the bank and post office. In a restaurant, in a cafe. Shopping, goods. Grammatical structures. Pronunciation.
