- Course objectives
- Aim of the course is to provide brief information about the collection, determination and documentation of fungal material. Field lessons (limited by the time of fungal fructification) are followed by practical lessons, given to the methods of macro- and micromycetes processing (isolation and cultivation, identification methods).
- Learning outcomes
- Student at the end of the course is able:
- to apply the basic methods of collecting, documenting and preserving of fungi;
- to use the fundamental approaches of macro- and micromycete study and basic determination literature. - Syllabus
- September, October: short excursions in Brno, methods of field work.
November: Determination features - fungal basidiocarps and ascocarps of various types, vegetative structures, microscopic structures, spores.
December: Micromycete sampling, isolation and cultivation, maintaining and documentation of fungi - brief methods.
- September, October: short excursions in Brno, methods of field work.
