- At the end of this course, the students will be able to understand of the principes of methods and processes used at the isolation of biotechnological products. Students will demonstrate knowledge of the use of methods for the solving of practical probleme.

- Fluids properties. Fluid transfer in piping.
- Bioreactors support systems and processes. Systems with immobilized cells and enzymes.
- Influence of solvents on enzyme activities.
- Methods of product isolation. Mechanical, chemical and enzymatic cell disruption. Filtration. Centrifugation.
- Precipitation. Salting out. Denaturation and renaturation of proteins.
- Liquid-liquid extraction. Aqueous two-phase systems. Types of extractors and their design.

- Bioreactors support systems and processes. Systems with immobilized cells and enzymes.
- Influence of solvents on enzyme activities.
