Course objectives
The main objective of the course is to enhanced knowledge of:
- stratigraphy and geology of proterozoic and Palaeozoic of the Central Bohemian region
- stratigraphy and geology of the Paleozoic of the Moravian-Silesian region
- stratigraphy of the Mesozoic platform cover
- stratigraphy of the Tertiary platform cover
- stratigraphy and geology of the Western Carpathians with focus on the flysh belt
- the Carpathian foredeep and the Vienna Basin
- development and systematics of dinosaurs
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to understand and explain geological history of the Central Europe.

Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to understand and explain geological history of the Central Europe.

  • Stratigraphy of Paleozoic rocks in Barrandian and Moravian-Silesian region. Mesozoic and Tertiary of flysch West Carpathians, Tertiary of the Vienna Basin and Carpathian Foredeep, Mesozoic and Tertiary of the platform cover, dinosaurs
