Course objectives
The aim of this course is to introduce students to dialogic approach to teaching. Dialogic teaching aims to use communication to promote higher cognitive functions in student. In dialogic teachnig students are engaged and actively involved in a dialogic co-construction of knowledge. In the course the basic elements of dialogic teaching ate presented to students: its indicators and principlel. Afterwords the teacher and the students focus on selected indicators: open questions of high cognitive demands, uptake, open discussion, student talk with reasoning. Students prepare a micro-teaching session with indicators implemented. Each micro-session is recorded and provided with group feedback in both oral and written form, which then served each student as starting points for written reflection.
Learning outcomes
Students learn how to influence student thinking and to intensify their learning through a work with classroom discourse. Students learn how to pose open questions of high cognitive demands. Students learn how to give uptake. Students learn how to induce open discussion in the classroom. Students learn how to stimulate student talk with reasoning.

(4) Teachers' open questions of high cognitive demand. (5) Uptake and formative feedback. (6) Student talk with reasoning. Open discussion. (7) Micro-teaching sessions with reflection and feedback.
