Course objectives
Diversity of helminths, morphological, biological, physiological-biochemical and ethological adaptations, structure and function of organ systems,developmental and life cycles, asexual and sexual reproduction, stragegy for transmission, ecology of helminths, parasite-host interactions, phylogenesis and classification, main groups of helminths:Trematoda, Monogenea, Cestoda, Acanthocephala, Nematoda: characteristics, morphology, development, diseases, importance.
Learning outcomes
Increasing of knowledge obtained during the coureses of Basic parasitology and Basic parasitology - practical lesson. Diversity of helminths, morphological, biological, physiological-biochemical and ethological adaptations, structure and function of organ systems,developmental and life cycles, asexual and sexual reproduction, stragegy for transmission, ecology of helminths, parasite-host interactions, phylogenesis and classification, main groups of helminths:Trematoda, Monogenea, Cestoda, Acanthocephala, Nematoda: characteristics, morphology, development, diseases, importance.
