Course objectives
The aim of the course of Dosimetry is to make students acquainted with the backgrounds of dosimetry calculations and current usage in medicine, technical and military field.
The course is designed for students interested in radiation physics and radiation health protection.
At the end of this course the student will be able to:
use information to assess the radiation situation and on the basis of acquired knowledge to estimate the level of risk

  • The effects of radiation on the material.
  • Basic dosimetry quantities.
  • Radiation monitoring and personal dosimetry Open radionuclides. External and internal contamination
  • Biological effects of ionizing radiation. Radiation Protection.
  • Definition, types and methods for detection of ionizing radiation Application of ionizing radiation
