Basic knowledge of astrophysics.
Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The course will give an overview of the collapsing of a Molecular Cloud to the very last stages of stellar evolution. We will discuss the basic principles of fusion and fission and all relevant astrophysical processes that play a role in stellar evolution.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, a student will be able to:
- astrophysical processes ongoing in the stellar interiors;
- understand processes determining the Hertzprung-Russell diagram;
- understand all stages of stellar evolution;
