Course objectives
The aim of the course is to provide students with basic knowledge in the field of forensic medicine necessary for their practice, especially in criminal law.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course of forensic medicine, the student will have the basic knowledge of forensic medicine necessary for his/her practice, especially in the field of criminal justice.
Syllabus
  • During lessons there will be presented: the theoretical basis of forensic thanatology including changes after death
  • Sudden and unexpected death
  • Blunt injuries including proglems of traffic accidents
  • Knife wounds
  • Fireamrs injuries
  • Forensic toxicology, genetics and serology
  • Injury due to heat, cold and electricity
  • Suffocation

The lectures are involved in basic and new informations in forensic disciplines. The teachers present practical cases and students can discuss about legal aspects.
