Course objectives (in Czech)
The lecture of the Hungarian cognitive philosopher and film theorist László Tarnay will deal with the topic of neuroaesthetics and aesthetic pleasure in film. It is based on Tarnays new English-written book: LÁSZLÓ TARNAY & TAMÁS PÓLYA: Specificity Recognition and Social Cognition. Frankfurt am Main: PETER LANG 2004. The schedule: 3 lectures during November 3.4., room n.12, the exact time will be specified. Besides attending the lectures, students will be required to read one selected article by Tarany on the topic. This text will be delivered to them via internet. Proceeding exam: a written test (in Czech, organized by a member of the Department of Film and Audio-visual Culture following upon the end of the lectures).
