Course objectives (in Czech)
V rámci dvou přednášek budou prezentovány obecné poznazky a případové studie z fluviální geomorfologie, krajinné ekologie a biogeomorfologie a jejich využití při plánování a managementu říčních krajin. Prof. Gurnell provádí základní i aplikovaný výzkum na řekách ve Velké Británii, Itálii, Francii a USA. Případové studie budou zaměřeny na vztahy mezi hydrologií, geomorfologií a vegetací údolních niv, plavenou dřevní hmotu, invaze zavlečených druhů rostlin v nivách, dopady šíření bobra evropského v říčních ekosystémech a na další otázky ekologie (hydrekologie) řek a jejich niv.
