Parts of the final state examination and its content

Final state exam consists of the following parts:


1. Defense of the Master’s thesis


2. Linguistic Slavonic studies (with emphasis on Ukrainian) – oral exam verifying knowledge from the area of theoretical thinking about language, diachronic and synchronic development of Ukrainian language and orientation in stylistics.


3. Literary Slavonic studies and Cultural studies (with emphasis on Ukrainian area) – oral exam verifying knowledge of theory and modern history of Ukrainian literature in cultural and historical context of East and Central European area, comparative literature and genre studies, exam also verifies orientation in the history of Czech-Ukrainian relations and cultural background.


4. Profile language – oral and written exam verifying practical knowledge of Ukrainian, that means knowledge of vocabulary and grammar, and ability to express oneself in writing and speaking on C1 level.
