Studijní a výzkumné povinnosti

The individual curriculum (Individual Study Plan) is compiled primarily with regard to the dissertation topic. To answer this call, the course DAF3DT03 Doctoral Thesis Project III, which is fulfilled by the defense of the current procedure of preparation of the dissertation thesis, consisting mainly of the defense of the research question, relevant choice of methodology and orientation in the relevant literature, is a part of compulsory courses.

During studies, the student enrolls courses that belong to three sections: Research Module, Thesis Module, and Comparative Corporate, Foundation and Trust Law Module.

The supervisor (tutor) sets the student a specific way of completing the courses associated with presentations at conferences or with publications in her/his individual curriculum. After discussion, the supervisor specifies at which conference the student will present her/his contribution and her/his thematic focus - always so that the topic is related to the topic of the dissertation.
Presentations at conferences are related to the course assessments (DAF2DT02

Doctoral Thesis Project II and DAF5DT02 Doctoral Thesis II). Furthermore, the supervisor determines which papers focused on what topic the student will send to publication (the publication of research papers is part of the evaluation of DAF4DT01 Doctoral Thesis I and DAF6DT03 Doctoral Thesis III courses) and in what selection of professional journals (or in other ways). These publications (presentations at a professional conference and publication of a research paper) are intended to meet the condition foreseen by Article 30 (4) c) point 2 of the Study and Examination Regulation.

In accordance with Government Decree No. 274/2016 Coll. the student will be required to engage in internationalization activities. For this purpose, the course of foreign practice is to be enrolled in the second or third year of studies. Completion of this course is conditioned
(a) by studying abroad (at a foreign professional, scientific, academic or research institution of at least one month's duration), or
b) by bringing proof of participation in a project with international participants, with results published or presented abroad.

The supervisor sets out the extent of study abroad according to letter a) in the individual curriculum after discussion with the student. The supervisor also approves of a foreign institution choice.

The supervisor sets a binding procedure, including specific evaluation criteria, for the preparation of the dissertation in the individual curriculum (Thesis Module courses).

During her/his studies, the student has to complete all the courses marked as compulsory (typically these are the courses monitoring the process of the dissertation thesis preparations and the courses focused on methodology and consisting of the courses of the profiling basis, including basic theoretical subjects of the profiling basis).

Because of the characteristic of the Doctoral Study Program "Comparative Corporate foundation and Trust law" as a "research focused", students will not necessarily have to participate directly in teaching the bachelor or master study programs. However, they have to present her/his results to students as a
pedagogical practice. The scope of this presentation will be specified by the supervisor.

The supervisor may, however, determine participation on the indirect pedagogical work within the individual curriculum, should it be in accordance with the dissertation focus.

The individual curriculum will include the preparation of dissertation thesis theses if the Doctoral Board specifies thusly.

The supervisor may also specify within the individual curriculum on which specifics the student is to be focused on during the Research Module courses or, where appropriate, with what practical outputs these courses will be connected with.
