Abstract

V originále

E-learning has recently been increasingly promoted, though it is not always clear whether the expectations for students' knowledge having completed the e-course have been fulfilled. This paper presents results of the research based on an e-learning physics course carried out at the University of Defense in Brno. The e-course Exercises from Physics is designed to bachelor degree students in conjunction with theoretical lectures. Based on the theoretical background of e-learning, the data obtained in the investigation to determine if the e-learning course for students was more effective than traditional teaching are discussed. As expected, the incorporation of multimedia support in the teaching of physics awakened in the students more interest in learning physics, and the students' reactions were positive. As for the disadvantages, however, the creation of the e-course can be considered time-consuming alongside the amount of time required of the students to pass the e-course.
