V originále

Príspevok má za cieľ priblížiť chápanie ľudskej prirodzenosti v ponímaní významného politického filozofa 20. stor. Erica Voegelina. Jeho bádateľský počin je zavŕšený filozofiou ľudskej prirodzenosti, ktorá sa snaží postihnúť komplexnosť ľudskej existencie. Z tejto perspektívy sa potom nejedná len o skúmanie čisto ontologickej sféry ľudského bytia, ale Voegelin berie do úvahy aj existenciálnu dimenziu, ktorá tvorí kľúčový prvok pri porozumení špecifickej situácie človeka ako bytosti nachádzajúcej sa v stave nepokoja a údivu. Voegelin vo svojom úsilí vychádza z Aristotelovej noetickej skúsenosti a dochádza k záveru, že jadrom ľudskej prirodzenosti je otvorenosť ľudského bytia voči základu bytia a jeho poznanie.

The main purpose of this article is to grasp the philosophical problem of human nature (nature of man) as an existential problem. This comprehension, the human nature as an existential problem, comes from Eric Voegelin, philosopher of 20th century. He is trying to explore the complexity of the human existence. Not only the ontological realm but also the existential dimension that is the crucial point of a specific situation of man, is important to answer the question "what is man?" Voegelin maintained that man as an animate being find himself in the state of restlessness and astonishment. The core of the human nature is the openness of the human being toward the ground of being. Human nature and the ground of being, in Voegelin's interpretation, is the subject-matter of our analysis.
