Abstract

V originále

In this paper, we have provided a formal semantic analysis of direct object clitic doubling in Albanian, which confirms and renders precise previous intuitions on this phenomenon (cf. Kallulli 2000, 2008). Specifically, we have shown that clitic doubled direct object DPs must be interpreted as generating admissible minimal witnesses, which in turn makes these DPs topical.
