Abstract

Publikace je pokusem o ucelený úvod do albanistiky (albanologie), věnuje se albánskému jazyku, literatuře, historii a kultuře. První část tvoří nástin vývoje vědeckého zájmu o Albánce ve světovém i domácím kontextu. Druhá část se zabývá otázkami spojenými s albánským etnikem a jeho původem, dále pak i historickou etapou národního obrození od poloviny 19. století do vyhlášení nezávislého albánského státu v roce 1912. Třetí část shrnuje základní charakteristiky albánštiny z pohledu klasifikace jazyků a historického vývoje albánštiny se zvláštním zřetelem k procesu standardizace spisovného jazyka. Obsahem další části je starší albánská literatura do 18. století. Kniha obsahuje též albánsko-český slovník lingvistických termínů.

Abstract (in English)

The publication attempts to provide a complex introduction into albanology; it deals with the Albanian language, literature, history and culture. The first part overviews the development of the scholarly interest in the Albanians in a global as well as domestic context. The second part focuses on the questions connected with the Albanian people and their origin and on the historical period of the national revival from mid-nineteenth century to the declaration of the independent Albanian state in 1912. The third part summarizes basic characteristics of the Albanian language in terms of the classification of languages and historical development of Albanian with a special attention to the process of standardization of the written language. The next part deals with the ancient Albanian literature until the eighteenth century. The handbook also includes an Albanian-Czech dictionary of linguistic terms.
