Abstract

Dans cet article, nous comparons deux romans d auteures francophones Sylvie Germain et Pascale Tison qui sont consacrés a la Révolution de Velours de Prague. La romanciere francaise se concentre a la transformation intérieure de son personnage principal Prokop Poupa. Il s agit plutot d une révolution personnelle aupres de celle de l histoire. Cet homme lit le poeme de Bridel Co Bůh? Člověk? qui l ouvre pour une nouvelle dimension de la vie, il commence a percevoir Dieu. L histoire des personnages du roman Le Velours de Prague de l auteure belge commence en 1968 par leur émigration au Canada et elle continue par leur quete de la terre promise. Leurs histoires créent une mosaique qui seulement dans son ensemble documente l époque ou ces sorts humains se sont développés. L auteure rappelle la symbolique des périodes de vingt ans qui se répetent dans l histoire tcheque et qui apportent toujours des changements importants. Les deux romans prouvent que la littérature réagit aux événements qui changent non seulement l histoire, mais aussi les vies des hommes.

Abstract (in Czech)

V článku srovnáváme romány dvou frankofonních autorek, Sylvie Germain a Pascale Tison, které pojednávají o Sametové revoluci v Praze. Francouzská autorka se v románu Immensités soustřeďuje především na vnitřní proměnu své hlavní postavy Prokopa Poupy. Jedná se spíše o osobní revoluci na pozadí té historické, při níž se tento muž vlivem četby Bridelovy básně Co Bůh? Člověk? otvírá pro nový rozměr života, začíná vnímat Boha. Příběh hrdinů románu Le Velours de Prague belgické autorky začíná v roce 1968 jejich emigrací do Kanady a pokračuje jejich hledáním zaslíbené země. Jejich příběhy tvoří mozaiku, která teprve spojená dohromady podává obraz o době, v níž se tyto lidské osudy odvíjely. Autorka připomíná symboliku dvaceti let, které v české historii přinášely vždy významné změny. Oba romány jsou důkazem toho, že literatura reaguje na události, které mění nejen běh dějin, ale především lidské osudy.

Abstract (in English)

In the article we compare two French-language novels, by Sylvie Germain and Pascale Tison, which deal with the velvet revolution in Prague. The French author in the novel Immensités focuses primarily on the internal transformation of its main character Prokop Poupa. This is more a personal revolution against the background of the historical one. While reading the poem What God? A Man? by Bridel, the man falls under the influence of the poem and opens himself to new dimension of his life and he begins to perceive God. The story of the heroes of the novel Le Velours de Prague by Belgian artist starts in 1968, by their emigration to Canada and continues their search for the promised land. Their stories form a mosaic, which links together, this gives a picture of the time in which these human destinies were developed. The author recalls the symbolism of twenty years, in which the Czech history always brought significant changes. Both novels proof the fact that literature not only responds to events that change the course of history, but above all human destinies.
