Abstract
The chapter focuses on methods of teaching reading skills in a foreign language class for the deaf. It discusses the significance of reading strategies for acquiring reading skills in both L1 and L2, and attempts to apply existing research findings in this area to the linguistic situation of the deaf, with special regard to foreign language learning of the deaf.
