Abstract
The paper analyzes the eurodiscourse of Václav Klaus by using discoursive analysis. The paper focuses on the early phase of the euro (1999-2002) and tries to find out whether Klaus approach towards the euro can be explained by the concepts of soft and hard Euroscepticism and what this classification means for this traditional and prevailing theoretical conceptualization of critique towards the EU.
