Abstract
Thermal sensitive foils (TSF) are used for an approximate measurement of the temperature. They change their colour with temperature and now are commercially available also in larger sizes. The set of experiments with TSF was presented during the workshop . They can be used for the qualitative demonstration of thermal conductivity of solids, thermal capacity, gas heating and cooling in adiabatic compression and expansion, gas flow in aerodynamics and for the detection of infrared radiation. These experiments can be helpful in physics education at all types of schools, from elementary to universities. Some of the experiments are very easy to prepare and provide and do not require any special equipment.
