Abstract (in English)
The paper studies the approaches to geography teaching in secondary schools in Czechoslovakia before 1989 in comparison with the current geographic education in the Czech Republic. We discuss the potential impact of innovative teaching aids and teacher adaptation to the evolutionary process. By the evolutionary process we mean the process of continuous innovation. The type analysis is complemented by an overview of the challenges in teaching grammar school geography.
