Abstract

The First Aid is the skill which saves lives. The results of research showed the low level of knowledge of people (e.g. Reissmannová, 2010), which points out the inadequate preparation of citizens within the field of First Aid. The recommendations for improving the current situation are focused on the implementation this issue in the curriculum of all subjects in the grammar school e.g. mathematics and physics. The possibilities are described in this paper. It is necessary to strengthen the teaching of first aid at Faculty of Education. We prepered the new subject of First Aid, based on constructivist and cooperative theory of teaching, and on more effective methods of teaching, such as skills creating, situational method, etc.

Abstract (in Czech)

První pomoc je dovednost zachraňující lidské životy. Výsledky výzkumů ukazují, že znalosti občanů v oblasti první pomoci jsou na nižší úrovni než by bylo žádoucí (např. Reissmannová, 2010), což souvisí s často nedostatečnou přípravu občanů v této oblasti. Zlepšení neuspokojivé situace může přinést implementace témat první pomoci do všech předmětů, které jsou vyučovány na základních školách např. také do matematiky a fyziky. Je také nezbytné posílit výuku první pomoci na pedagogických fakultách v České republice. Z tohoto důvodu jsme na Pedagogické fakultě MU zavedli nový předmět – První pomoc, který je založen na konstruktivismu a zážitkové pedagogice.
