Abstract
Cysts are defined as pathological cavities with their own capsule. They occurs as good radiolucencies on X-rays. Aim of the research is to make and train a model from actual medical data and then to use it for an automatic detection of cysts. Fundamental research described in this poster concerns the area of processing OPG images of jawbones with the aim of classifying follicular and radicular cysts. In the first step we use binary classification of the type of cyst: follicular or radicular. The results of image processing indicated the possibility of using a combination of several parameters for a binary classification of cysts.
