Abstract
Příspěvek se zabývá možnostmi použití kategorie nespolehlivého vyprávění při interpretaci autobiografických textů. Tyto možnosti jsou omezené vzhledem k tomu, že nespolehlivost chápeme jako efekt vytvořený autorem. Následuje analýza autobiografické knihy Maxe Frische Montauk, která podává faktuální vyprávění pomocí nástrojů fikce a tematizuje performativní charakter autobiografií: to, že proces psaní autobiografie je zároveň procesem konstrukce vlastní identity. Nespolehlivé vyprávění není vhodným konceptem pro interpretaci této knihy, neboť diskrepance v textu obsažené zde plní jinou funkci.

Abstract

Příspěvek se zabývá možnostmi použití kategorie nespolehlivého vyprávění při interpretaci autobiografických textů. Tyto možnosti jsou omezené vzhledem k tomu, že nespolehlivost chápeme jako efekt vytvořený autorem. Následuje analýza autobiografické knihy Maxe Frische Montauk, která podává faktuální vyprávění pomocí nástrojů fikce a tematizuje performativní charakter autobiografií: to, že proces psaní autobiografie je zároveň procesem konstrukce vlastní identity. Abstract (in English)
The paper deals with the possibilities of applying the category of unreliable narration to autobiographical texts. I argue that these possibilities are limited since unreliability is an effect created by the author of the work. Next, an analysis of Max Frisch's Montauk is presented. This autobiographical work combines factual narration with the use of fictional devices, and it thematizes the performative nature of autobiography: the process of writing an autobiography is at the same time a process of constructing one's identity. Unreliable narration does not prove useful for interpreting this book, as the discrepancies contained in the text perform a different function in the work as a whole.
