Abstract
CoUniverse is a tool for self-organizing, peer-to-peer based orchestration of advanced collaborative environments. The environments are built upon numerous single-purpose applications for multimedia transmission and application-level multicast. The CoUniverse focuses on interactive data transmissions which require minimum capture-to-display latency and implements algorithms for data distribution tree planning with respect to needs of the interactive applications. The CoUniverse represents network topology in a two-level structure, which captures application-level reachability between individual nodes as well as partial knowledge of underlying physical network structure. Such representation improves accuracy and applicability of planning decisions.
