Abstract

V kapitole je charakterizována Mezinárodní klasifikace funkčních schopností, disability a zdraví (MKF, International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health, ICF, 2001) ve srovnání s Mezinárodní klasifikací poškození, omezení a postižení (ICIDH, WHO, 1980). Pojem postižení podle ICF je chápán jako nadřazený k pojmu omezení funkčních schopností člověka a definuje se vždy v určitém sociálním kontextu. Novou klasifikaci můžeme chápat ve smyslu pozitivních změn ve prospěch člověka s postižením.

Abstract (in English)

The chapter focuses on the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF, 2001) and compares it with the International Classification of Impairments, Disability and Handicaps (ICIDH, WHO, 1980). The concept of disability in ICF is seen as superior to the concept of functional capabilities limitations in a person and it is always defined in a social context. New classification can be understood in terms of positive changes for the benefit of a person with a disability.
