Náplň předmětu se svou problematikou zaměřuje na pochopení a získání základních znalostí a dovedností z oblasti digitální techniky. Seznamuje s jejími základními pojmy, způsoby návrhu a použití číslicových obvodů, činnosti nejrozšířenějších AD a DA převodníků, kombinačními i sekvenčními obvody.
