N2 - Předložená publikace se zabývá problematikou výuky atletiky dětí předškolního a mladšího školního věku. Jedná se o metodický materiál pro studenty oboru Učitelství pro mateřské školy a Učitelství pro 1. stupeň ZŠ. Publikace je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části je popsána historie atletiky, soutěže pořádané pro děti, specifika pohybových schopností daného věku a rozložení výuky atletiky do jednotlivých ročníků na 1. stupni ZŠ. Praktická část publikace je zaměřena na techniku a metodiku vybraných atletických disciplín s ohledem na mentální a fyzický vývoj dětí. Jednou z priorit této publikace je představit nové poznatky a navrhnout využití moderních atletických sad pro výuku dětí.
