Příspěvek vznikl na základě výzkumu zaměřeného na motivaci nadaných studentů v matematice. Symetrie rovinných i prostorových útvarů je zakomponována ve světě kolem nás a je studována v matematice již od základní školy na všech stupních vzdělávání. Symetrie má velké uplatnění ve fyzice, chemii a mineralogii.

The article was created as the result of the research oriented at motivation of gifted students in mathematics teaching. Symmetry of planar and spatial forms is incorporated in the world around us and is studied in mathematics at all degrees of schools. Symmetry is applied in physics, chemistry, mineralogy.
