Abstract
Kniha podrobně charakterizuje všechny čtyři biogeografické podprovincie a také 91 bioregionů ČR. Každý bioregion je popsán z hlediska polohy, plochy, hornin, reliéfu, půd, podnebí, aktuálního stavu krajiny, flóry a fauny, vegetace potenciální i aktuální, dále pak dle geobiocenologické typizace a kontrastů k okolí. Uvedena jsou i klíčová chráněná území. Součástí publikace je podrobná mapa biogeografického členění ČR v měřítku 1:500 000.
Abstract (in English)
The book brings detailed characteristics of all four biogeographical subprovinces and of 91 biogeographical regions (bioregions)of the Czech Republic. Characteristics consider location of biogeographical unite, geology and geomorphology, soils, climate, actual state of landscape of respective unite, thorough characteristics of its flora and fauna, potential and actual vegetation (phytocoenological classification), contrasts to surrounding regions and nature protected areas. Book is accopanied by map of biogeographical division of the Czech Republic in the scale of 1: 500 000.
