Abstract

V originále

Cultural policy is one of major public policy in many countries. The evidence of this is mostly the fact that this area is reserved for special ministry with its own agenda and budget in the state budget. However, the governmental level is not the only area of public administration, where the cultural policy is implemented. In many countries, process of formulation, development and implementation of cultural policies is found at the level of local governments. The aim of this article is the synthesis and comparison of findings and empirical data on the implementation of cultural policies at the level of local governments on the example set of Central European countries (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Austria).
