Anotace

La publication aborde l'histoire de la traduction tcheque de la littérature française dans la période allant de la fin du 18e siecle jusqu´au début du 21e siecle dans la perspective externe. A part la traduction littéraire, l´ attention est accordée aussi, mais plutot marginalement, a la traduction des sciences humaines. Le manuel est consacré aux fonctions de la traduction dans le contexte de la littérature tcheque, aux principaux courants littéraires, auteurs et oeuvres clé, ainsi qu´au développement des stratégies de traduction. Le monde de l'édition et la politique éditoriale en Tchécoslovaquie, avec son systeme de censure, figurent aussi parmi des sujets abordés par la publication qui présente également, dans sa derniere partie, les courtes biographies des traducteurs influents.

Anotace česky

Publikace se zabývá dějinami českého překladu z francouzské literatury v období od konce 18. století do počátku 21. století, částečně je věnována pozornost i překladům z humanitních věd. Text se věnuje funkcím překladu v kontextu české literatury, hlavním literárním směrům, autorům a dílům, uváděným z francouzské literatury do českého prostředí, vývoji překladatelských strategií, významným překladatelským osobnostem, nakladatelstvím, a v období socialistického Československa i nakladatelské politice státu a systému cenzury.

Anotace anglicky

The publication deals with the history of Czech translations from French literature in the period between the end of the eighteenth and the beginning of the twenty first centuries, with partial attention to the translations of the area of humanities. The text focuses on the functions of translations within the context of Czech literature, mainstream literary movements, authors and works introduced from French literature to the Czech environment, development of translating strategies, significant translators, publishing houses as well as the state publishing policy and censorship system in socialistic Czechoslovakia.
