PB - NOSA – Nordic Society for Aerosol Research CY - Stockholm KW - particulate matter, elemental composition, traffic, road tunnel UR - http://www.itm.su.se/nosa2014/ N2 - Particulate matter (PM) is an important topic for a research primarily because of its negative effects on human health (respiratory and cardiovascular diseases). Up to 347,900 Europeans died due to air pollution in accordance with the EU study and life shortening of 8 months was statistically determined because of long exposure to PM (Watkiss et al., 2005). Presently, traffic represents one of the most significant sources of air pollution. It contains fine and ultrafine particulate matter fractions especially (Morawska & Zhang, 2002). The road tunnel environment is a suitable site for characteristics of the traffic-related emissions (Sanchez-Ccoyllo et al., 2009). ER -
