Abstract

V originále

The eponym Castleman disease encompasses two clinical forms (unicentric and multicentric) further histopathologically classified into four variants:hyaline vascular, plasma cell, mixed, plasmablastic. Enlarged lymph nodes, the hallmark of this rare, non-clonal lymphoproliferative disorder, are usually found in the mediastinum. We are the first to report on a finding of Castleman disease on screening mammography, which was further confirmed on a whole body PET/CT examination.
