The publication provides a detailed analysis, comparison, interpretation and conclusion of the results of the extensive research on musical preferences of university students in member countries of the world involved in the programme of the global organization dealing with issues of music education, International Society for Music Education (ISME). The research was conducted by the Department of Music, Faculty of Education at Masaryk University in 2014.
