Abstract
V originále
In this chapter, we have described, on the basis of findings from the Czech Republic, two factors that can help young people from ethnic minorities to facilitate their civic participation. The first factor is their social environment, in particular civic organizations, which provide young people with an opportunity to join civic activities. The second factor is the Internet, which can represent an alternative for young people from minorities who have a complicated position in the majority society of how to avoid the frustration and disillusion that they would face if they participated in the real world.
