The publication provides a detailed analysis, comparison, and interpretation of the findings of extensive researches on musical preferences of university students in the Czech Republic, the European Union and in selected countries of the world claiming to program of the one global organization dealing with issues of music education, International Society for Music Education (ISME), which the Department of Music, Faculty of Education at Masaryk University conducted in the years 2012 - 2014.
