Abstract

Během jakéhokoliv transportu je kriticky nemocný pacient vystaven riziku vzniku komplikací, které mohou mít až fatální následky. Rozhodnutí jestli pacienta podrobit transportu je výsledkem zralé úvahy porovnávající rizika a benefit tohoto úkonu. Kriticky nemocní pacienti se převážejí na jiné místo za účelem poskytnutí dodatečné péče terapeutického nebo diagnostického charakteru, které nelze dosáhnout v současném místě.

Abstract (in English)

During any transport the critically ill patient is at risk of developing complications that can have fatal consequences. The decision whether to undergo patient transport is the result of mature reflection comparing the risks and benefits of this act. Critically ill patients are transported to another place in order to provide additional care therapeutic or diagnostic character which can not be achieved at the present site.
