Abstract

Skripta se dělí na čtyři základní části. První věnuje pozornost definici základních pojmů v disciplíně, vzniku a vývoji pečeti, sfragistiky i bádání. Čtenář se dozví také o vnějších znacích pečetí, archivní ochraně pečeti, typářích, razítkách a pramenech sfragistiky. Stranou nezůstávají ani významné osobnosti disciplíny v českých zemích. Druhá část studijních textů mapuje základní poznatky o pečetích jednotlivých složek společnosti a falzech. Třetí oddíl skripta dává k dispozici studentům vzorové popisy pečetí, které využijí v praxi při inventarizaci či katalogizaci a čtvrtý přináší slovníček elementárních pojmů, využívaných ve sfragistice. Součástí skript je rovněž poměrně obsáhlá výběrová bibliografie a barevné a černobílé fotografie vhodných ukázek pečetí.

Abstract (in English)

The study texts are divided into four basic parts. The first one focused on the definition of key terms in the discipline, the origins and development of the seal, sfragistics and research. The reader will also find out about the exterior symbols of seals, archive protection of seals, seal matrices, stamps and sources of sfragistics. The text also pays attention to leading personalities of the discipline in the Czech lands. The second part of the study texts maps the fundamental knowledge on seals of individual layers of society and counterfeits. The third part of the study text provides students with sample descriptions of seals which they may practically use in the course of inventory taking or cataloguing, and the fourth one offers a glossary of fundamental concepts used in sigillography. The study texts also include quite extensive selected bibliography and colour and black and white photographs of appropriate examples of seals.
