N2 - The Slovak civil society is remaining 22 years after changes of 1989 vibrant and its public image is predominantly positive. The recent state administration is very open towards non-governmental organizations. Legal and regulatory environment for civil society is free of excessive state pressures and also from bureaucracy. Favorable taxation of NGOs prevail. NGO sector in Slovakia has a well-developed infrastructure, training and research base. The government of prime-minister Radičová is extremely receptive to policy advocacy groups. Trade unions are free in Slovakia and by majority of population negatively perceived. The education system is free of political influence and propaganda.
